Ok so each time I use this computer it seems to be a little slow but tolerable. So we get Thomas on here and it starts acting likes its possessed. So I will give you a little run down of what we have been up to.
Our trip from North Bay was good. We stopped in Sundridge where I met Jenny’s mommy for the first time and we seen three moose.
We arrived at the apartment on Saturday about 2:30 pm. The driver got us here safe considering the speed at which he was driving.
We spent the rest of the day getting oriented and putting food into our tummys. Well pizza from a restaurant just a few minutes from the apartment.
On Sunday we were up early, had breakfast, and headed to the Termini. We bought our Metro passes for three days and headed to the Vatican. We wanted to get an idea of how long it would take to get there. From there we visited St. Peter’s Square, then walked to Castel St. Angelo then to a resatuarant for lunch. Trevor harassed the pigeons while we were eating and they were attacking us from under the table. We all ate pasta and it was very good!
After lunch we walked to Piazza Navona where I purchased an oil painting that I am hoping will look good in my living room. The Italian guy selling the painting told me to change my living room to fit the painting. Not a good idea.
We left the Piazza for the Pantheon then to the Fontana di Trevi. Had to see this for obvious reasons. Throughout the day we seen people begging for money. Some were crippled, while others wore outfits to look like Egyptian mommys, demons and invisable men. We experience musicians in the Metro and at lunch. They play for about two minutes then ask for money.
We walked the rest of the way home. Ouch!! We all had sore feet and were in bed by 9pm.
Today, May 10, we went to the Vatican Museums. Wow!!!! But, the people. There were just too many people and so many of them were just rude. You’d think they’d have some manners in a holy place like the vatican.
We are having a blast with Trevor, Thomas and the Jenns. Lots of laughs. Trevor wanted us to play Sorry tonight with the game he brought. He was losing and not too happy. This was very funny for those of us that were winning.
Well, I think tomorrow is about the Coloseum. More Metro riding and more food and wine. Yeah! We have been drinking our fair share of wine here.
Until the next time. Ciao!!!

At first I was going to comment on how you can take an experiene like Italy and turn it into a couple of short paragraphs, but I’m actually thankful you’re taking a few minutes to keep us posted. Good idea to save the detailed stories until we have pictures to follow… and Thomas, leave the poor computer alone. It’s small and all alone in a new place. It’s scared. Set it besides the TV or radio so it has company and can feel superior.
